The founders of Stockholm center for Spine Surgery are all reputable spine surgeons with a great deal of experience of spinal surgery assessments and operations of both neck and lower back.
Our goal is to provide high quality spine care which results in satisfied patients and referrers.

Martin Skeppholm

Since the founding of RKC in 2017, Martin Skeppholm has been a key team member and became the CEO and managing director in spring 2022. A specialist in orthopedic surgery, Martin previously worked on spinal surgery at Danderyd Hospital and Stockholm Spine Center. He has a Ph.D. in cervical spine surgery and continues to be actively involved in research connected to Karolinska Institutet.

Per Svedmarkis a specialist in orthopedic surgery. He has previously worked with spinal surgery and orthopedic trauma at Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset, then at Stockholm Spine Center. Per completed his doctoral thesis on the three-dimensional mobility of the neck and back and continues his research activities linked to Karolinska Institutet.

Specializing in orthopedic surgery, Thomas Henriques has previously served in the spinal section at Akademiska Sjukhuset and Stockholm Spine Center. He has been with RKC since its start in 2017. Thomas earned his doctorate in cervical spine surgery.

A specialist in orthopedic surgery, Anton Rasch previously served at Stockholm Spine Center and as a spinal surgeon in Australia. He has been part of RKC since its start in 2017. Anton holds a Ph.D. in orthopedics and is currently engaged in ongoing research at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet.

Andreas Alexanderson specializes in orthopedic surgery and has prior experience working with spinal surgery and orthopedic trauma at Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset and S:t Görans Sjukhus, later moving to Stockholm Spine Center. He joined RKC in 2018.

Specializing in orthopedic surgery, Andreas Selander has previously worked with spinal surgery at Danderyds Sjukhus, Akademiska Sjukhuset in Uppsala, and Stockholm Spine Center. He has been with RKC since 2017.

Since 2010, Peter Endles has been a specialist in orthopedic surgery, obtaining his Swedish orthopedic qualification in 2011, and has been a licensed chiropractor since 1989. Peter's clinical research at Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset culminated in a Ph.D. in 2019 on isthmic spondylolisthesis. Since 2011, he has exclusively worked with spinal surgery at Södersjukhuset, Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset in trauma and spinal surgery, and most recently at Stockholm Spine Center. Peter also serves as the team physician for AIK Hockey.

A specialist in orthopedic surgery, Hans Möller has previously worked in the spinal section at Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset. Hans completed his doctorate on the outcomes of lumbar spine surgery and continues to conduct research on both surgical and non-surgical treatments for various spinal conditions, affiliated with the CLINTEC institution at Karolinska Institutet. He has been with RKC since 2019.

A specialist in orthopedic surgery, Per Ekman has spent many years working and leading the spinal section at Södersjukhusetl and has also worked in spinal surgery at Karolinska Sjukhuset. He completed a thesis on fusion surgery for spondylolisthesis and remains actively involved in research linked to the Karolinska Institutet. He is part of a group developing national guidelines for the treatment of lower back pain and joined RKC in 2022.

Doulat är specialist i ortopedi sedan 2000 och har haft en kirurgisk karriär sedan 1994. Doulat har mer än 16 års erfarenhet inom ryggkirurgi varav sju år på Strängnäs ryggkirurgiska klinik och sex år som överläkare på Stockholm Spine center. Doulat har även en specialistkompetens inom barnortopedi och vuxen traumaortopedi samt bedrivit forskning inom osteotransplantationer inom barnortopedi. Doulat har arbetat på RKC sedan 2024.

Mark är specialistläkare i ortopedisk kirurgi och har sedan 2022 och arbetat uteslutande med ryggkirurgi, senast på Stockholm Spine Center. Mark har arbetat på RKC 2025.

Ylva Bodén är specialist i ortopedi sedan 2011 och har arbetat på Mälarsjukhuset Eskilstuna och på ryggsektionen ortopedkliniken Linköping. Hon gjorde fellowship i ryggkirurgi på Karolinska Huddinge 2016 och följer upp patienter med ryggmärgsbråck. Ylva arbetar på RKC sedan 2025.

Soheila är specialist i ortopedisk kirurgi sedan 2004. Soheila har arbetat inom allmän ortopedi och artroskopiskkirurgi på Capio St. Göran och Danderyds sjukhus samt 11 år på Aleris. Soheila gjorde ettårigt fellowship i idrottsmedicin och datornavigerad knäproteskirurgi i Australien 2007 och disputerade inom axelkirurgi vid Karolinska institutet 2016. Soheila har stora erfarenheter av bedömning och handläggning av nacke- och ryggpatienter. Soheila är även författare till boken Kroppssmart (Natur & Kultur 2023). Soheila har arbetat på RKC sedan 2024.
